Help please. Hospice Care Questions?

My mother is very sick with COPD/emphysema and a moment ago went vertebrae to the hospital today. We will want to bring her home from the hospital when she is stable, and we need more relieve with her home concern. Brother taking care of her,but wishes relief. We hav an aide come within once/week for respite care nouns but really need at lowest one full day sour. Can we get hospice assistance for her at home?
We already have home helath charge aids check on her but they do not provide care nouns. She does not qulaify for Medicaid, and becaus is re- hospitalized more than every 60 days, medicare won't cover rehab(we would also prefer home care if we can acquire assistance)
Do we have to recount her she is dying to get the hospice care(I'm afraid of how she'll respond to this prognosis?)
