Hi, we have our feminine lab at the vet 8days ago to remove a tumor it be succsesfull ,but very soon her wound fruitless?

shes 13 years old, and licking her wound the skin around and inside of her stitchies is presently dead skin, this will soon come stale, the vet says to tolerate her new dose of anti biotics do here job ,but be getting worried about her robustness, but she is eating and drinking no problem.gratefulness CW ..fife scot. Most vets vote they don't need to lick the wonds. I would gie her some penicillan. You can take it at a feed store or any pet suppy store. Just contribute her a shot of that & keep her form licking it. You have need of to ask her vet if the penicillan will interfear with the type antibiotic they enjoy her on. You can but bedidine on as well. Now I have a lab which we got fixed & her defect didn't heal right Only one or two covering of skin closed. The rest you could spread apart . I know its weird. It never bother her. She lived to be 17.
she desires a cone to keep her from licking it. you shouldnt put anything on it minus talking to your vet
