Latly i have be wondering to get into a livelihood with physical therpy but i requirement help on what compassionate of degrees i necessitate to get within and where can i draw from them and how much do they make a year??
Thanks alot! Well, you can be a Physical Therapy Aide who unsophisticatedly does the "grunt" work... Refreshes the linens, makes sure things are stocked.
You can be a PTA, or Physical Therapist assistant. This is what I am. I go to a community college, and my degree is an Associates contained by Applied Science. Anyhow, this requires a 2 or 4 year program, depending on where you walk. My program was with the sole purpose 2 years. PTAs directly interact w/ the care of patients but are individual allowed to work under the supervision of a PT, or Physical Therapist. They are with the sole purpose allowed to do what they have be instructed by the PT.
PT's are the ones who initially evaluate the patient and hold on to track of the patient's progress. They ultimately decide when a long-suffering is ready to be discharged from their caution. You will need to successfully complete the Physical THerapy program, and next pass a licensure exam. I hold heard, tho, that not adjectives states require PTAs to be licensed. I'm pretty sure that ALL PTs must be licensed.
Salaries depend on which job you hold... Obviously PTs will make more, PTAs smaller amount, and aides even more less. I'm within the Chicago area and ending I heard PTA's label an average of $20 per hour. Some of my classmates were hired at $30, some at just $15.
I'll post some websites that might help to point you within the right direction. Good luck!
